TT Pilates

Located in Edinburgh, TT Pilates is a Pilates studio offering a range of classes for all levels of experience. Founded by David and Tom Lowe, TT Pilates is dedicated to helping individuals achieve their fitness and wellness goals through the practise of Pilates.

Pilates is an exercise method based on the work of Joseph Pilates. It focuses on lengthening and strengthening muscles, while also emphasising muscle control, posture, coordination, strength, flexibility, and balance. It has been proven to be highly effective in rehabilitating injuries and alleviating chronic pain. By combining breath and movement, Pilates helps to not only balance the body but also the mind.

Tom, a Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor, received his Realistic Basic Pilates Qualification in 2006 and completed the full Realistic Pilates Mat Pilates Level 3 qualification in February 2009. This is the standard qualification that an instructor must achieve to become a fully accredited Pilates instructor. In 2017, he further expanded his knowledge by achieving his Diamond Pilates Certification, which includes a focus on pelvic floor anatomy, function, and failure. Tom's extensive training and expertise ensure that clients are in safe and knowledgeable hands.

TT Pilates offers classes suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Classes take place at the Carrickvale Community Centre in Edinburgh. The cost for classes is 36. 50 per calendar month, with a trial class available for 10.

Classes are held on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. If a class is marked as full, interested individuals can contact TT Pilates to be placed on a waiting list or to obtain more information.
