Join Mallard Flyfishers Syndicate for a wonderful trout fishing experience at Mallard Lake. From March 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025, members can enjoy fishing from dawn until dusk, soaking in the tranquility of the surroundings. Just remember to have your Environment Agency Rod Licence handy before you cast your line.
Members can fish for trout up to three days a week, with a maximum catch limit of four trout per week. Whether you choose to catch and release or take a few home, remember to use barbless hooks and stick to fly-fishing only.
Safety is key at Mallard Lake, so make sure rowing boats are properly maintained and secured to the designated buoys before starting your fishing session. Don't forget to grab a life jacket from the Boat hut if you plan to row out onto the water – they're there for your protection.
Looking to share the fishing fun with friends? Members can bring up to 10 'trout fishing only' guests throughout the season, with a limit of two junior guests per day. Remember, guests must sign in, pay a £25.00 fee per day, and be accompanied by a member at all times.
For the sake of the environment and other anglers, please refrain from wading in Mallard Lake and keep noise levels down to maintain the peace of the fishery. Mallard Flyfishers Syndicate looks forward to welcoming you for a fantastic day of trout fishing!
