During this time, he gained valuable experience in various leisure activities, customer relations, and staff management. He also took on the role of relief Duty Manager, ensuring the smooth running of the centre and maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the pools.
Following his time at Penrith Leisure Centre, Trevor embarked on a new challenge at Centre Parcs - Whinfell Forest. Starting as a High Ropes instructor, he quickly progressed to become the Water Sports Assistant Manager, responsible for planning and overseeing a wide range of activities such as raft building, paddle boat sessions, and kayak tuition. Trevor's keen eye for detail and commitment to maximising the venue's income led to him being promoted to Assistant Manager, overseeing the commercial side of the venue.
During his tenure at Centre Parcs, Trevor worked closely with his Head of Department to improve staff morale and enhance the guest experience, resulting in impressive DES scores. He also became a course inspection operator and inspector of Personal Protective Equipment, demonstrating his dedication to maintaining high standards.
In addition to his work at Centre Parcs, Trevor has also owned his own business, North West Tree Services, focusing on tree and fencing works within the Rail and Utility services. Although the business closed due to changes in the industry, Trevor's experience as an owner and manager further enhanced his skills in leadership and problem-solving.
With his extensive experience, Trevor is able to design personalised training programmes that cater to the unique needs and goals of his clients.
