About
Traceworks Youth Dance Programme in Kingston upon Thames is here to help young dancers aged 11–17 improve their skills, get creative, and perform exciting new choreography. Led by the experienced James Aiden Kay, the weekly sessions take place at Tiffin Boys' School Sports Centre every Tuesday from 18:00 to 20:00 during school terms, with Spring 2024 term running from January 9th to March 26th.
In Autumn 2023, Holly Smith will join the team to assist with the programme and craft a new piece for the group to perform in 2024. Classes focus on contemporary dance technique, choreography, improvisation, and other training. Students also get to participate in several performance opportunities throughout the year.
Interested in joining? Traceworks offers a free trial session so you can get a taste of the classes before signing up. The website features a studio tour video, showcases past dancers, and has an FAQ section with answers about contemporary dance, dress code, and how to join the programme mid-term.
