Townsend Park is a 15-hectare park located west of downtown Chilliwack, named after Harold Townsend who previously owned the land. The City purchased the land in 1946 and developed it into a major public sports facility for ball sports and leisure activities. The Wolfe family washroom is open from dawn to dusk, providing convenience for park-goers.
In addition to its facilities, Townsend Park offers a 2. 3 km walking trail around its perimeter, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk. The park is also equipped with 5 multipurpose pitches and six softball diamonds, three of which are lit for evening games.
