The Toronto Fencing Centre, located in North York, is a fencing school dedicated to the development and refinement of fencers of all levels. From beginners and recreational fencers to high-performance athletes, world champions, and Olympians, the Toronto Fencing Centre caters to fencers of all ages, starting from 6 years old.
Established 20 years ago, the Toronto Fencing Centre has grown exponentially, now boasting competitive members and beginners ranging from 6–70 years old in both foil and epee. The centre has produced 30 Canadian Cadet, Junior, and Senior National Team members in both foil and epee categories.
The state-of-the-art facility at the Toronto Fencing Centre includes an in-house physiotherapy clinic, English tutoring service, conditioning equipment instructors, armorer stations, equipment provincial armorers, showers, locker changing rooms, conference room, laundry room, kitchen chef, outdoor bicycle trail grass field, and 8 walking-distance restaurants and supermarket.
With 10 coaches from diverse backgrounds including Ukraine, China, the Philippines, England, Hong Kong, Venezuela, and Canada, members at the Toronto Fencing Centre are exposed to different schools of thought in fencing. The supportive club culture at the centre is evident when competitive members travel to competitions both locally and abroad.
The Toronto Fencing Centre offers a variety of programs including one-on-one lessons, personal training, group programs, and outreach and education initiatives. Members are welcome to train six days a week with specific schedules for epee and foil classes.
For beginners, the Toronto Fencing Centre offers an introductory package of private lessons to help new students learn correct fencing actions, footwork, and other fundamental aspects before joining ongoing group classes. All fencing equipment is provided and no TFC membership is required to begin.
