Tony's outstanding skills led him to be selected as one of the youngest players to represent the Cheshire boys team, eventually captaining the team at the age of 18 and going on to play for the men's team.
Tony turned professional in 1995 at Wallasey Golf Club, participating in pro-ams and north region events. After obtaining his full qualification in 1998, he embarked on his coaching career at Moreton Hills Golf Centre in 1999. In 2002, Tony became the Head Teaching Professional, contributing to the development of the academy. His students range from beginner players to county, national, and professional players.
In 2009, Tony was appointed as the England academy coach for Cheshire Golf Partnership, coaching boys and girls squads. He currently serves as the Cheshire county coach for the under 18 A team and under 14 B team. Tony's coaching expertise has resulted in several county championship titles, and he has players representing Cheshire county teams, as well as the England squad.
