KB Swim School, the local swimming club in King's Lynn, is excited to announce our upcoming toddler and preschool swimming lessons! These classes are designed to further toddlers' skills and enable them to swim independently, building confidence and creating competent swimmers.
At KB Swim School, we understand that every child learns at their own pace. Some babies who have attended our swimming lessons may even be able to swim independently by the end of their second year! While we expect the majority of children to swim a few meters by the end of their fourth year, this depends on various factors such as the length of time they've been taking lessons, how often they practice outside of lessons, and their individual progression.
Our ethos revolves around ensuring that neither the parent nor the child is forced to do anything they're uncomfortable with. We believe in taking the time to build confidence, fostering a positive and enjoyable swimming experience for both child and parent. And when that special moment comes, when your little one takes those first few independent moves through the water, it's a memory that will last a lifetime!
Our toddler and preschool swimming classes focus on developing essential skills and water safety awareness through progressive games and themed lessons. Toddlers aged 1.5 to 2.5 years will start building confidence and independence in the water, while preschoolers aged 2.5 to 4 years may even have their first independent swims! Joining any class is easy, and there's no need to wait until the start of term. We welcome new swimmers throughout the year.
It's important to note that babies and children who are not potty-trained yet must wear the 'double nappy system' in order to participate in our swimming lessons. This system consists of a disposable swim nappy with a neoprene swim nappy worn on top, ensuring a hygienic and comfortable experience for everyone involved.
