If you're completely new to archery and want to dip your toes in the water before committing to the full beginners' course, Tockington Archers highly recommends attending our regular have-a-go sessions. These sessions take place on the second Friday of each month, from May to September, and provide all the required equipment as well as expert instruction from either a qualified Archery GB coach or an experienced club archer. Furthermore, we invite you to participate in the Start Archery Week, an exciting annual event supported by Tockington Archers. Held on a Sunday in May, this event offers a unique chance to try archery, mingle with our club members, and witness captivating demonstrations of different bows and shooting styles. We kindly urge you to steer clear of secondhand shops or general sports equipment dealers when acquiring archery gear. However, if you do happen to obtain secondhand equipment, it is strongly recommended to have it thoroughly checked by one of our senior club members before using it.
