For beginners, Chris has designed fun and engaging classes to kickstart your martial arts journey. The rotation system and martial arts syllabus teach basic kicks, punches, blocks, sparring, and essential self-defence moves. As progression is made, there are various classes to join, such as the A 2 Z Weapons system, Spar Wars, Tournament Team squad training, Black Belt classes, and a special Family Class for families to learn together.
TKS participates in kickboxing tournaments across Scotland, England, and Ireland. These tournaments follow semi-contact rules, focusing on control, speed, and technique. Chris offers a special Saturday class called "Squad Training," led by Sensei Luke, a champion in Scotland and England with tournament experience since age 5. Sensei Luke shares techniques from global fighters while increasing fitness levels to produce more world champions.
Participation in tournaments is optional, and Chris encourages spectators to enjoy the excitement and consider competing if interested. Squad Training is open to anyone keen to experience it.
Another highlight at TKS is the focus on weapons training. The unique system, based on the alphabet, allows students to progress through various weapons, starting with Bo Staff, Sword, and Nunchaku. For more details on weapons training, Chris welcomes any messages.
