Welcome to Titchfield Boxing Club, located in J. N. Boxfit Fitness Training Recreation Ground, Mill Lane, Titchfield. The club is currently closed for the Christmas season but will reopen on Monday, January 8th.
Titchfield Boxing Club is a community-based gym that caters to both male and female participants aged 9 to 40 years old. While we primarily focus on competitive boxing, we also offer classes for those who are interested in improving their general fitness through non-contact boxing training. Our J. Boxfit classes on Tuesdays are perfect for this.
Please note that participants cannot compete in boxing matches until they turn 11 years old. However, from the age of 10 to 16, they can participate in a limited number of controlled “skills bouts. ” It is important to mention that all boxers must retire from amateur boxing once they reach the age of 40.
Our training fees are currently set at 5 per week, covering all relevant sessions. There is no reduction in fees for missed classes during the week. Additionally, after a month-long trial period, an annual membership fee of 10 will be payable.
In the near future, we are also planning to introduce weekly boxing training sessions for disabled individuals of all ages and genders, as soon as we receive guidelines from England Boxing, our national governing body.
At Titchfield Boxing Club, we provide all the necessary training equipment, except hand wraps and gum shields, which can be purchased from the gym stores. Members are required to wear their own sports shoes and clothing during training sessions.
We would also like to take a moment to express our deepest condolences to the Royal Family on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We are deeply saddened by the loss and send our thoughts and sympathy to the Royal Family during this difficult time.
Furthermore, Titchfield Boxing Club has been awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. This is the highest honour given to volunteer groups in the UK, recognising their outstanding contributions to local communities. The club has been a pillar of support for over 50 years and has raised over 200,000 to assist local charities, with a special focus on aiding handicapped children. This award is equivalent to the MBE for individuals and is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our members.
