Gursharan Sahota, the organiser of TISKA Ascot Shotokan Karate Club, invites the sports community to join a dynamic martial arts experience right in Ascot. The club welcomes participants of all ages and skill levels, focusing on improving balance, coordination, self-confidence, and discipline in a friendly environment.
As part of The Traditional International Shotokan Karate Association (TISKA), founded in 1993, the Ascot club benefits from the expertise of Gursharan Sahota, its Chief Instructor. Holding an 8th Dan black belt, Gursharan has an impressive history of competing in national and international events and training in Japan with Sensei Hirokazu Kanazawa.
Gursharan’s enthusiasm for karate shines through his dedication to teaching. He runs over 35 classes a week across the UK and leads master classes internationally. His commitment has helped hundreds of students of all ages reach black belt standard and beyond.
TISKA Ascot welcomes beginners from age 4 upwards and encourages family members to train together. The club offers a free trial session for newcomers, giving them a chance to experience martial arts firsthand.
To support beginners, TISKA has developed an app tailored for Shotokan Karate beginners, guiding them from basic skills to achieving a black belt.
Besides regular classes, TISKA Ascot hosts club gradings to help students progress and showcase their abilities. The club is proactive in organising events and keeps its members updated on news and upcoming activities.
Stay connected with the club on the TISKA Facebook Group and Instagram, where they share achievements and activities. For more details about classes, gradings, and contact information, visit the club's website. Any inquiries can be made via email or phone.
Gursharan Sahota and TISKA Ascot take pride in offering excellent martial arts training in a supportive setting. Whether starting out or looking to advance, join the club for a fulfilling martial arts journey under Gursharan’s expert guidance.
