Times Women's classes are held at Queen Edith Primary School, Godwin Way, Cambridge, CB1 8QP, in the Large Hall. The classes, known as Ori-MAUL, are exclusive to women and focus on traditional International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) and World Taekwondo (WT) styles, with influences from Muay Thai, Karate, Jiu Jitsu, and other martial arts. The instructors, Master Tina Felice and Instructor Duane Bacon, have created a unique training style that evolves over time thanks to the contributions of MAUL instructors and members from various disciplines.
New students are welcome all year round. The classes cover techniques such as kicking and blocking, emphasising privacy, comfort, and traditional training methods. Additional sessions and activities, like mat sessions and meditation, are often held at weekends. These details can be found on the club's private Google calendar.
There is a recommended donation of £5 per class or £15 per month for one class per week, £25 per month for multiple classes per week. Students who cannot afford to donate can discuss alternative arrangements with the instructors. The classes are volunteer-run and affiliated with the Independent Martial Arts Sports Association (IMASA).
MAUL provides step-by-step instructions for forms, syllabus materials, technique reference, and private YouTube videos to support students' training. Outside of classes, members are encouraged to practice together with their belt buddies, designated according to their skill level.
