Tim Doyle Sports Massage & Personal Training is a renowned sports massage therapist and personal trainer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. With qualifications as a Level 3 Sports Masseur, Level 3 Swedish Masseur, Level 2 Gym Instructor, and Level 3 Personal Trainer, Tim has been actively practising sports massage therapy for 7 years and personal training for 10 years.
Tim operates his massage studio in Juniper Green and is also equipped with a portable massage table, allowing him to provide services to clients within a 20-minute drive. His expertise expands beyond massage therapy as he has authored self-help exercise books, including “Ageing Fitness: A plan for everyone over 45” and “Running Injuries: A Joint Approach,” both available on Amazon.
Devoting his career to sports injury massage therapy, Tim was driven by the desire to assist individuals who had to give up running due to injury despite there being alternative treatments available. He strongly believes that many sports injuries can be effectively treated through massage therapy, incorporating exercises and techniques that clients can practise themselves. Furthermore, Tim's services are not limited to sports injuries only, as he is well-equipped to address muscular problems such as lower and upper back pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, and leg pain.
Tim's personal journey in fitness and wellness spans nearly 40 years, during which time he has completed approximately 70 marathons. While he now focuses on specific hill races such as the Carnethy 5 and Ben Nevis Hill Races, as well as selected Ultramarathons like The Lowe Alpine Mountain Marathon, The LDWA 100-miler, and Highland Fling 53-miler, he has also climbed all the Munros (Hills in Scotland over 3000ft) and is currently repeating the feat. In 1999, Tim achieved his goal of running the 211-mile Southern Upland Way in one go, an accomplishment he does not wish to repeat.
Driven by his unwavering passion for health and fitness, Tim made the decision to turn his passion into a career by becoming a Sports Masseur and Personal Trainer. With his extensive experience and dedication to his craft, Tim Doyle Sports Massage & Personal Training is committed to helping individuals recover from sports injuries, alleviate muscular pain, and achieve their fitness goals.
