Welcome to Timaru Squash Rackets Club! Located in Timaru, New Zealand, our club offers six playing courts and a large open plan lounge where you can enjoy viewing games while staying warm by the fire.
At Timaru Squash Rackets Club, we pride ourselves on providing a competitive, safe, and family-friendly environment. We welcome squash enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to join our club. Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned player, we have something for everyone.
We offer a variety of membership programmes tailored to meet your needs. Our programmes include coaching and referring opportunities, ensuring that you have access to the support and resources you need to improve your game.
In addition to regular club play, we host special events and social club events throughout the year, designed to encourage all members to participate and enjoy the game of squash with us. These events provide a great opportunity to connect with fellow squash players and build friendships within the club.
For your convenience, our courts are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except when booked for tournaments, interclub matches, club nights, coaching sessions, or special events. To book a court, you can use the Hello Club platform.
When using our courts, please adhere to the court attire guidelines. Attire must be clean, tidy, and designed for court use. Jeans, jandals, and cut-offs are not allowed. There is no restriction on the colour of your clothing.
Shoe soles must be non-marking and clean to ensure proper court maintenance.
We have a range of weekly club activities to keep you engaged and improve your skills. On Mondays, we offer junior coaching sessions from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm during school terms 1-4. Tuesdays are dedicated to interclub matches from 7:00 pm onwards, and Wednesdays feature our club league games from 6:00 pm onwards. Additionally, we host a Business House event on Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
