Tilt Mma

Tilt MMA is a martial arts school located in Calgary, offering classes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, wrestling, and boxing. The school is led by Professor Anderson Goncalves, a 6th Degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt and Head Coach of AG BJJ/Tilt MMA. Professor Anderson is not only the highest ranked Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt in Alberta but also among the highest ranked in Canada.

Professor Anderson's journey in martial arts began in his hometown of Petrpolis, Rio de Janiero, Brazil when he was just 14 years old. Under the mentorship of Aloisio Silva, he dedicated himself to the art of jiu-jitsu and eventually received his black belt at the age of 20. Professor Anderson's lineage can be traced back to the Gracie line, with Aloisio Silva being a direct student of Master Carlos Robson Gracie.

In 1999, Professor Anderson moved to Orange County, California, where he had the honour of training under the guidance of Master Joe Moreira, an 8th-degree Coral Red and White belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. With Master Joe Moreira, Professor Anderson trained alongside world-renowned former UFC champions and gained valuable experience that he now imparts to his students at Tilt MMA.
