Thorpe Hesley & High Green Cricket Club is nestled in Rotherham, Yorkshire, with its friendly and sociable atmosphere. It came into being in 2014, bringing together the histories of Thorpe Hesley CC (est. 1904) and High Green Village CC (est. 1999).
Jake, the organiser, wants to remind everyone that the club is inclusive, welcoming players of all skill levels and backgrounds. They're always on the lookout for new ways to grow and improve.
Conveniently close to Junction 35 of the M1, the club's home is on Smithywood Road in Rotherham, complete with a well-equipped clubhouse, making it a breeze for players and spectators to get there.
In 2023, the club fields three senior teams and two junior teams. The senior teams take part in the South Yorkshire Senior League Divisions 2 and 5 and the South Yorkshire Alliance Works Midweek League, giving players plenty of chances to shine and compete.
Known for its social events, the club fosters a strong sense of community. Jake had organised the annual Bonfire Night celebration, though the 2023 event got cancelled due to bad weather. Nevertheless, the club remains committed to offering a fun and inclusive environment for everyone.
If you're thinking about joining, whether as a player or a supporter, get in touch! You can call the club at 07773075280 or fill out the online contact form on their website. New players are always welcome, and Jake looks forward to seeing you become part of the cricketing family at Thorpe Hesley & High Green CC. ππ
