Thornleigh West Public School P&C is excited to invite all parents and caregivers to our upcoming event. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to get informed about all the amazing activities and initiatives that the P&C has in store for the school community.
One of the highlights of this event will be the Band Committee Meetings. Held twice a term, these meetings are a crucial element of our school's vibrant music program. We value the input and involvement of all parents and caregivers, which is why we warmly encourage you to attend these meetings.
The Band Committee Meetings usually take place in the staff room of Thornleigh West Public School. We understand that everyone's schedule can be busy, so we've carefully chosen the Thursday of weeks 2 and 7 to accommodate as many people as possible. These meetings serve as a platform where we discuss and plan various band-related activities and initiatives.
To ensure you don't miss out on any future meetings, keep an eye out for the dates as we will be announcing them soon. We understand that being aware of the meeting dates in advance helps you plan accordingly.
Allow us to introduce you to the remarkable members of the 2021 Band Committee. They are a passionate group dedicated to supporting the musical development of our students. Our Convenor, Aimi F, along with Assistant Convenor Carolyn D and Treasurer Claudine K, form the backbone of our committee. We also have Jennifer P as the Assistant Treasurer and Megan Tchepak as our Instrument Coordinator.
Working alongside them are Assistant Instrument Coordinator Julie Tanger, Tutor Coordinator (position currently open), Assistant Tutor Coordinator Leanne Browne, Band Camp Coordinator Yvonne Curren, and Fundraising Coordinator Kirsty de Vallance. Additionally, we have Lesley Ziegler as our Web Contact and Michelle Lee as our Music Librarian.
To stay updated with all the exciting happenings in the Band Committee and music program, we highly recommend visiting our school's website. It's the perfect way to stay connected and actively support your child's musical journey.
We sincerely hope you can make it to our upcoming event, and we look forward to seeing you there. This is a fabulous chance for you to get involved, learn, and have a real impact on your child's experience in the music program. So mark your calendars and join us for an evening filled with information, inspiration, and the joy of music!
