Sifu David Tsan, also known as 'Dawud', is the head instructor at The Wing Chun School's Peckham location. He has been training Wing Chun under the tutelage of Grandmaster Garry McKenzie since 2010 and has completed all four gradings under The Wing Chun School system. In 2013, he was granted permission to teach by Grandmaster Garry and went on to open his first school in Peckham in January 2014.
Since then, Sifu David Tsan has been actively involved in teaching Wing Chun and currently manages schools, clubs, and private sessions throughout London. He oversees the children's classes at Hackney HQ and has participated in various seminars and demonstrations associated with The Wing Chun School, including the UK Wing Chun gathering, Wan Kam Leung London Seminar, and Festival Asia. Sifu David Tsan is also a qualified teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), holds advanced level certification from The Wing Chun School, and is certified in Mohk Yahn Johng and Level 2 Fitness Instruction.
Fully licenced with the Amateur Martial Arts Association (AMA) and registered as a lifetime member at both the 'Ving Tsun Athletic Association' (VTAA) and the 'Ving Tsun Ip Ching Athletic Association' (VTICAA), Sifu David Tsan is a dedicated and highly skilled instructor. He is DBS certified with the Update Service, holds Emergency First Aid at Work (Level 3 VTQ) certification, and has completed advanced safeguarding children training (Level 2).
Sifu David Tsan's dedication and passion for Wing Chun were evident when he participated in organising and running the children's activities for the 25th anniversary celebrations of The Wing Chun School in October 2015. He also took part in demonstrations and seminars in Hong Kong and Foshan, China, visiting various Wing Chun Schools across the country.
