He unfortunately passed away. I then went on to train under Sifu Garry Abdul Malik McKenzie, the founder of The Wing Chun School. I have been dedicated to Wing Chun ever since and have achieved the rank of Sifu.

Our school is a part of The Wing Chun School network, which was founded in 1990 by Sifu Garry Abdul Malik McKenzie. With over 30 branches in the UK and Norway, our network is one of the largest and most respected Wing Chun organisations in the region. We take pride in teaching the Yip Man Wing Chun Kung Fu system, passed down directly from Grand Master Yip Ching.
The Wing Chun system is known for its straightforward approach to teaching and application. It emphasises principles such as “Economy of Motion” and “Conservation of Energy”, which promote directness and efficiency in combat. Our training syllabus is based on a scientific and mathematical approach to combat, making it one of the shortest among traditional Chinese martial arts.
Sifu Alam Hossain, the head instructor at The Wing Chun School Canada Water, has a wealth of knowledge and experience in Wing Chun. Inspired by martial arts movies, he began his Wing Chun journey in 1997 under the guidance of Simon Lau. After training with Sifu Garry Abdul Malik McKenzie, he has become a highly skilled Sifu himself.
