Offering a pristine wilderness experience, the Outpost provides 8 fully equipped housekeeping cottages, showers, a community fire pit, a gathering area, weekly fish fry, a gift/snack shop, and a full-service marina with boat rentals, bait, and fuel.
Horwood Lake boasts 180 miles of shoreline and is famous for its exceptional pickerel (walleye) and northern pike fishing, as well as rewarding perch fishing. The area also provides great opportunities for fall black bear and moose hunting, with Northern Ontario known for offering some of the best hunting experiences in the world. Limited spots are available at the camp, so visitors are encouraged to book early.
