The Well Centre is a Pilates and physiotherapy practise located just minutes from the centre of Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Founded as a purpose-built facility, The Well Centre offers a range of services delivered by APPI-qualified Pilates teachers and highly experienced Chartered Physiotherapists.
With a focus on individual treatment, the physiotherapy services at The Well Centre cater to a variety of musculo-skeletal problems, including back and neck pain, joint pain, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, women's health and continence issues, and neurological conditions. Liz Cohen, a neuro specialist, and Kate Potts, a women's health specialist, are integral members of the team, providing specialised care for their respective fields.
Each physiotherapy session is tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual and utilises a combination of manual therapy and targeted exercises. Initial assessments typically take about an hour and cost 55, while subsequent treatments are available at 40 for shorter sessions or 55 for longer sessions. Angie Gregory MCSP is available to discuss your physiotherapy needs and provide further information.
The Well Centre also offers neuro physiotherapy and Pilates for individuals with neurological conditions such as Parkinson's Disease, multiple sclerosis, and post-stroke recovery. A dedicated seated class is currently available on Zoom every Thursday at 11:30 am, allowing participants to engage in Pilates exercises that have been adapted to their specific needs. In addition, the small class size ensures individual attention and guidance throughout the session. The Well Centre also provides ground floor treatment rooms for individual physiotherapy treatment, and home visits can be arranged upon request.
Pilates has been shown to be beneficial for individuals with neurological conditions, as it helps improve balance, coordination, and strength by targeting core muscles. It also helps alleviate stiffness in joints and muscles, providing relaxation. The experienced team at The Well Centre has witnessed firsthand the positive impact of Pilates on clients with neurological conditions, including improvements in walking ability, arm function, and overall ease of movement. Recent studies have concluded that Pilates can also improve posture, boost the immune system, reduce stress, increase energy and bone density, and improve muscle tone and circulation.
