Ellen has over 25 years of experience as a swim instructor and is dedicated to providing a nurturing and safe environment for children to learn and grow in their swimming skills. She has a genuine connexion with each child, fostering their confidence, structure, and joy in the pool. Ellen is passionate about helping children become safe and skilled swimmers for life.

The Village Swim School is equipped with a purpose-built heated swimming pool that offers a comfortable and inviting environment for learning. The pool has a wonderful outlook of our natural surroundings, providing a serene and calming atmosphere for swimmers. Our pool temperature is maintained at an optimal level to ensure a warm and pleasant experience for all.

We offer a wide range of swimming programmes for all ages and abilities. From bubs to school-aged children, and even adults, we have classes tailored to cater to everyone's needs. Our instructors are experienced in teaching swimmers of all levels, from beginners to advanced. We believe in starting children early, as water confidence can be instilled from as young as 6 months old.

Learning to swim is a technical skill that takes time to perfect. Our instructors have developed a comprehensive programme that caters to the stages of development for each child. While every child is unique and progresses at their own pace, we focus on progression to ensure each swimmer becomes a skilled swimmer proud to achieve the next level. We believe that consistent swim lessons are key to building a solid foundation for water safety and ultimate swimming success.

Water safety is of utmost importance to us at The Village Swim School. In addition to our regular swimming programme, we dedicate the last week of every term to water safety and life preservation. During this week, we focus on specific safety skills, self-preservation problem solving, endurance, and teamwork. Our goal is to educate the entire family on water safety, emphasising the importance of being safe in, on, and around the water.

Our team of swim instructors at The Village Swim School is highly experienced, passionate, and dedicated to teaching children and adults how to swim and prioritise water safety. With a combined experience of 57 years, our instructors have worked with students of all abilities and special needs. From Miss Ellen, our Swim School Coordinator with over 25 years of experience, to Miss Sue, a senior swim instructor with 28+ years of experience, and Miss Courtney, a skilled swim instructor with 4 years of experience, our team is committed to providing quality swim instruction and a supportive learning environment.
