The Torrent Complex, located in the scenic village of Donaghmore, just 2 miles from Dungannon Co Tyrone, is a state-of-the-art sports complex managed by the Donaghmore District Community Association (DDCA). This facility, officially opened on 12th October 2009, was inaugurated by esteemed boxing champion Katie Taylor, renowned business entrepreneur Gary McCausland, and acclaimed actor Dan Gordon.
Supported by Sport NI, the Torrent Complex offers a range of world-class amenities, including a 4-badminton court sports hall and a fully modernised, air-conditioned fitness suite. The fitness suite boasts over 30 machines covering cardiovascular, resistance, and free-weight equipment, ensuring that members have access to a comprehensive range of exercise options. This top-of-the-line equipment enables individuals to tailor their workouts to their specific needs and goals.
To cater to the diverse fitness preferences of the community, the Torrent Complex has implemented a comprehensive sports development plan. It offers a wide variety of fitness classes, recreational sports, and after-school activities in the Sports Hall. This versatile space is also available for hire at competitive rates, making it easily accessible for both local residents and those in the wider Dungannon and Mid-Ulster community.
