He began learning Judo in 1963 under the tutelage of renowned instructors Kenshiro Abbe and Matsutaro Otani. Sensei Roberts is also qualified as a Senior Kata Coach and Advanced Referee and Organiser, further enhancing the quality of instruction at the club.
Weekly classes are held every Tuesday, with separate sessions for beginners and advanced juniors and seniors. The timings are from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and 7:30pm to 8:30pm.
