Jamie, the organiser, extends a warm welcome to the sports community. Jamie wants everyone to know that The Sailing Centre Isles of Scilly is a trusted sailing school located amidst the scenic Isles of Scilly. With its clear waters, white sand beaches, and sheltered bays, it’s a perfect setting for water sports enthusiasts of all ages.

The Sailing Centre, led by Jamie, offers a variety of RYA, BSUPA, and AALA-licensed courses. From taster sessions to full certificated courses, there's something for everyone looking to explore the world of water sports.

Jamie's team at The Sailing Centre is dedicated to introducing both adults and kids to these fantastic water adventures. They offer group sessions and private instruction to ensure everyone gets the attention they need to learn effectively.

The centre is well-stocked with boats, kayaks, SUPs, windsurfing kits, and wetsuits available for hire. This means you can explore the waters at your own pace and enjoy some thrilling adventures.

Jamie also organises guided sit-on kayak trips, children’s sail camps, fun sessions, sailing excursions, and activities for school groups. For those seeking an adrenaline rush, the Endeavour High-Speed Rib Service offers the chance to watch dolphins, porpoises, and seals, among other wildlife. Plus, there are interisland water taxis, thrill rides, and special charters on offer.

With expertise in sailing, windsurfing, powerboating, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding, the centre has you covered, whether you’re after taster sessions, full courses, or equipment hires.

This summer, Jamie is excited to introduce Honwave 4m boats for hire. These boats, powered by a 6Hp outboard, are great for island exploration, picnics, or fishing trips.

Since its establishment in 1973, The Sailing Centre has been a leader in providing water sports instruction and equipment in the Isles of Scilly. From humble beginnings with just two boards and a dinghy, it has grown to offer a wide range of activities.

Jamie’s dynamic team of instructors is not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also passionate about sharing their expertise. Their main base is on Porthmellon, St. Mary’s, with a second site at Raven’s Porth Sailing Base, Old Grimsby, Tresco. This enables them to offer services throughout the islands.

The centre’s commitment to safety and quality is evident in its RYA, BSUPA, and AALA recognitions. Regular inspections ensure they uphold the highest standards.
