Instructor Justin is a fully certified Polestar Pilates instructor. He discovered Pilates after a back injury and quickly became hooked on its transformative effects. Justin brings his own unique style and energy to his classes, ensuring that each session is challenging, yet enjoyable. With a background in personal training and martial arts, Justin incorporates his knowledge and experience into his Pilates practise, helping clients achieve their fitness goals.
The Pilates Practise is a boutique Pilates studio located in Hastings, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. The studio offers a range of classes and training options to cater to all levels and abilities. They specialise in utilising the principles of Joseph Pilates to build strength, improve movement, and increase flexibility for a well-balanced body.
The studio is fully equipped with Pilates apparatus, allowing clients to experience a variety of exercises on machines such as reformers. In addition to reformer classes, they also offer mat classes, studio classes, strength and barre classes, and specialise in private training.
All the instructors at The Pilates Practise are certified through Polestar Pilates, an internationally recognised certification programme. This ensures that clients receive the highest quality instruction and guidance. The team of instructors is passionate about Pilates and dedicated to helping clients achieve their fitness goals.
Founder Karyn Mills started her journey with Pilates as a student in 2006 and fell in love with the practise. After 10 years of dedicated practise, she decided to pursue teacher training and became certified in 2019. Her goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable and empowered in their own bodies.
Instructor Christina Simcox also started as a student at The Pilates Practise before completing the Polestar comprehensive course and becoming an instructor. She brings her own passion for Pilates and a background in beauty therapy to her classes. Instructor Justin Mills discovered Pilates after a back injury and now combines his experience in personal training and martial arts with Pilates to help clients reach their fitness goals.
