Christine Cooksey, the organiser of the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts Sheffield, has a message for the sports community. Christine runs this fantastic performing arts group located within Sheffield Springs Academy. They offer classes and workshops in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre, and Film & Television for kids and young adults.

Christine leads a committed team at PQA Sheffield. Alongside her are Vice Principals Maddie and Molly, and instructor Lizzie, who guide students in Musical Theatre, Comedy & Drama, and Film & Television. Each of them is dedicated to giving students the best learning experience.
The academy’s curriculum is jam-packed with Musical Theatre, Film & Television, and Comedy & Drama modules. Students get to dive into singing, dancing, and acting, learn about the industry, and understand the fundamentals of theatre.
PQA Live, their virtual program, ensures students stay engaged even if circumstances change. Students also get to perform in West End shows and see their films in local cinemas. The academy celebrates student progress with RSL PQA qualifications and hosts masterclasses with industry pros.
Through their exclusive agency, Quirky Kidz Creative Management, PQA Sheffield students have appeared in top West End productions, TV shows, films, and adverts. The academy is super proud of these achievements.
Christine also organises regional film festivals, showcases, and drama events. These are great opportunities for students to show off their talents and hard work. The academy really believes in the power of performing arts to boost kids' confidence and skills.
