The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts – Bolton is a dedicated performing arts school located at The Brookside Pavilion in Bolton, New Zealand. The academy offers a range of classes for children and young adults in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre (singing & dancing), and Film & Television.
The academy is led by a passionate and experienced Principal, who is both a qualified teacher and a performer. Their aim is to provide an outstanding, inspiring, and safe learning environment for students to make friends, grow in confidence, and gain valuable experiences. They believe in combining teaching and the performing arts to offer enriching classes for 6 to 18-year-olds.
The academy offers three exciting and unique modules delivered by experienced teachers and performing artists. Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre, and Film & Television classes are designed to provide students with skills that they will treasure and utilise throughout their lives. The academy also has a special Poppets class for 4 and 5-year-olds, which focuses on embracing their imaginations and developing their skills and talents.
Opening times for PQA Bolton are on Saturday mornings from 9:45 am to 1:00 pm. The Poppets class runs from 9:45 am to 11:30 am. The academy is located at The Brookside Pavilion, Lady Bridge Lane, Bolton, BL1 5DE.

The academy has a dedicated and talented team, including Katy, Neve, Rohan, Lottie, Joel, Sarah, Emily, and more. Each team member brings their expertise and passion for the performing arts to inspire and teach students.
The academy offers three main modules: Musical Theatre, Film & Television, and Comedy & Drama. Musical Theatre classes combine singing, dance, and acting to provide a well-rounded performing arts education. Film & Television classes focus on developing skills in the film industry, and Comedy & Drama lessons provide knowledge about theatrical forms and techniques.
In addition to the core modules, PQA Bolton also offers added benefits. PQA Live is available for students during national and/or local lockdowns or in case of bad weather or pandemics. This online platform allows students to continue learning and performing from the comfort of their own homes.
