The initial meeting was held at the Stork Hotel in Liverpool, with the Countess of Derby serving as the first patron. The first show took place in September of the same year at the Lord Lloyd Memorial Hall in Liverpool. Despite making a financial loss, the show was considered a successful start for the club.
