Dance and Theatre Company goes beyond just dance and theatre training. We believe in nurturing the individual talents and abilities of each student, while also instilling discipline, dedication, and a love for the arts.

Located in Shanklin, The Island Dance and Theatre Company offers a wide range of dance classes for all ages and levels. Our Introduction to Dance classes are specially designed for our youngest pupils, focusing on stimulating their imaginations with the use of props. In Tippy Tappy Toes, we teach rhythm, counting, and easy steps to our little ones, while Wiggle & Move is perfect for those who want to learn the basic freestyle moves.

At The Island Dance and Theatre Company, we offer various genres of dance to cater to different interests. Ballet classes are balletic, graceful, and beautiful, suitable for any age group. Tap classes focus on rhythm and timing, while Freestyle allows students to express their freedom of movement. Our Street Dance classes cover a range of dance styles, such as Hip-Hop, and our Tots & Tumbles class introduces basic gymnastic moves.

For students who want to focus on strength and flexibility, we offer Stretching & Flexibility classes. Those who dream of becoming pop stars can join our Pop Stars class, where they can learn and rehearse popular songs. We also offer Pointe Work classes for our more senior and advanced ballet students.

In addition to our regular classes, we provide private tuition for students who want extra support in specific subjects. We also offer Singers classes for adults who love to sing and Acting & Musical Theatre classes, where students can explore scripts, singing, and imaginative expression.

The Island Dance and Theatre Company is honoured to have the renowned actress and TV presenter, Julie Peasgood, as our patron. With over 45 years of acting and TV presenting experience, Julie brings a wealth of knowledge and inspiration to our students.
