The Island

Situated in the Old Bridewell Police Station, The Island is part of Artspace Lifespace, a charity that transforms vacant and underused properties into thriving creative resources. With a vision of recycling and repurposing, The Island provides a platform for over 100 resident artists and offers a range of multi-use creative spaces.

The Island boasts a variety of venues, including a Dance Space, Circus Training Space, Gallery Space, and an Artist Studios. The Dance Space offers a wide range of classes and training sessions, making it an ideal destination for dancers of all levels. It is also available for private hire. The Circus Training Space, on the other hand, provides classes in various circus-related disciplines such as silks, rope, aerial hoop, trapeze, and acro yoga.
