The Holt Bolt Caboolture is a renowned fitness centre located in Caboolture, Australia. With a mission to identify and nurture the talents of the individuals it works with, the centre aims to create pathways and opportunities for them to share their talents and passions with the community. The Holt Bolt Caboolture offers a wide range of services, all of which are eligible for NDIS funding.
One of the main services provided by The Holt Bolt Caboolture is 1:1 physical training and exercise physiology. Clients have the opportunity to work one-on-one with an exercise physiologist or physical trainer who helps them develop their physical, social, and cognitive skills. These sessions are not only designed to be fun and engaging but also focus on achieving personal and NDIS goals. The centre's purpose-built facilities, which are a combination of arcades and gyms, promote engagement and the cultivation of a healthy relationship with exercise.
Additionally, sport-specific 1:1 sessions are delivered at Aspley Special School for those interested.
The centre also offers group sport programmes, which bring together groups of 12 individuals, known as “Bolters,” with their coaches. These sessions are aimed at teaching the foundational skills required to participate in their chosen sport. The sessions focus on supporting Bolters in learning and showcasing the skills they have developed during their 1:1 sessions. Exercise physiologists plan and oversee these sessions, ensuring that expert sports coaches deliver them.
Participants also engage in exercises that enhance strength, coordination, gross motor skills, balance, proprioception, and core stability. Holt Sport, the group sport programme, takes place at the Holt Bolt Aspley Special School and sessions are 45 minutes long.
Hydrotherapy is another service available at The Holt Bolt Caboolture. These 1:1 hydrotherapy sessions take the enjoyable experience of exercise physiology/physical training and immerse individuals in a water-based environment. The aquatic environment adds another dimension to the sessions, offering benefits such as improved strength, endurance, core stability, and motor skills development. The water's properties create an ideal environment for muscle relaxation, joint range of motion improvement, and positive behavioural enhancement, positively impacting the mental health and well-being of Bolters.
The BELLS programme, an acronym for Build, Explore, Learn, Lead, Succeed, is designed to allow Bolters to apply the skills developed in their 1:1 sessions within a group setting. The sessions heavily emphasise job readiness, social skills, and building positive relationships with peers and the community. Facilitated by experienced mentors and senior leaders, each session focuses on building, exploring, learning, and leading. Groups are formed based on Bolters' interests and experiences.
The centre offers both Junior and Senior BELLS groups, with the Senior BELLS programme serving as the final progression point before Bolters transition into employment within The Holt Bolt Subsidiary Business Network. This programme is available at Dayboro and Chermside West locations.
Lastly, The Holt Bolt Caboolture offers a School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) programme, aligning with the centre's objective of providing pathways towards employment for Bolters after completing school. This programme helps Bolters develop the necessary skills to find and maintain a job upon completing Year 12. The skills developed through this programme include money handling, time management, communication, discovery activities, work experience, and job readiness skills.
The Holt Bolt Caboolture is committed to supporting individuals in their fitness and developmental journey, ensuring they can lead fulfilling lives and make a positive impact in their community.
