Are you the owner of The Gap Trackers?

The Gap Trackers is a sports club located in Brisbane that organises weekly walking sessions for individuals of all fitness levels. With a membership of 50 people, the club welcomes anyone who wants to join and improve their physical health while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Brisbane.
The walks are organised by Deslyn, the walk organiser, and take place every Friday at 7:00 am. The duration of each walk is approximately 45–60 minutes, with a medium pace that caters to participants of varying fitness levels. Please note that the club is not dog-friendly and is not suitable for individuals with prams or wheelchairs.
The meeting point for the walks is the Coles Car Park at creek end, located at The Gap Shopping Centre in THE GAP (postcode 4061). This central location provides easy access to nearby walking groups, allowing members to engage in a larger walking community within a 10 km, 20 km, 25 km, 50 km, or 100 km radius.
The Gap Trackers is proudly supported by the National Heart Foundation of Australia, which recognises the benefits of walking in improving cardiovascular health. Walking for an average of 30 minutes a day has been proven to lower the risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes by 30 to 40 percent. In addition, regular walking helps manage weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels, reduces the risk of certain cancers, maintains bone density, and improves balance and coordination.
Healthcare professionals are encouraged to refer their patients to The Gap Trackers' structured and supportive walking programme, which complements medical care. The club offers a motivational programme designed to help individuals meet the national physical activity guidelines. By joining the club, individuals can build connexions within their community and work towards a healthier heart together.
Maria, a member of The Gap Trackers, shares her inspiring story of how walking helped her overcome weight, diabetes, and blood pressure issues. Through her dedication and the simple act of walking, Maria was able to increase her daily step count and improve her overall mental and physical health.
