The Fort McMurray Shotokan Karate Association, established in 1986, is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching Traditional Shotokan Karate in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The club is run entirely by volunteers who are passionate about the practice of Karate. Those interested in learning more about Shotokan Karate or training at the club are encouraged to visit the Dojo to observe a class, speak with students and instructors, or contact the club via email.
Training at the Fort McMurray Shotokan Karate Association is known for being demanding and disciplined, with a focus on passion, diligence, and perseverance. The club's Instructors are available to chat with before and after classes and are committed to providing quality instruction to students of all levels. The club trains at the Holy Trinity High School and Community Centre located at 230 Powder Drive in Timberlea, Fort McMurray, Alberta.
- Winter and Spring Session: February 28th through June, with classes on Tuesdays from 6-7 PM for beginners and 7-8 PM for advanced students, on Thursdays from 6-7 PM for beginners and 7-8 PM for advanced students, and on Saturdays from 10-11 AM for beginners and 11 AM-12 PM for advanced students.
