The Dang Collective

Dedicated to providing the highest level of training and support to our students. Our faculty consists of experienced professionals from the West End, including choreographers, directors, musical directors, and performers. With their expertise and guidance, our students receive comprehensive training in various dance styles and performing arts disciplines.

One of the unique aspects of The Dang Collective is our commitment to diversity and versatility. We believe that each student has a unique talent and passion, and our courses are designed to nurture their individuality. Our courses attract students from diverse backgrounds, with varying raw talents and training interests. Through our holistic approach, we turn them into versatile performers who possess a global understanding of the performing arts.

We offer a range of courses to cater to different levels and goals. Our Foundation Course is designed for students aged 16 years and over who are preparing for auditions and further vocational training. This course focuses on performance technique and development, providing tailored feedback to help students improve their skills. It is a Level 4 Diploma course, available in either Musical Theatre or Dance, and prepares students for higher education study.

For those looking for a more immersive experience, we offer a Two Year Funded Level 3 Extended Diploma Programme. In partnership with SCL Education Group and LEAD Education, this programme allows students between 16-18 to specialise in either Musical Theatre or Street & Commercial Dance. Alongside the diploma, students have the option to enhance their practise with additional training and the opportunity to study for a Level 4 Teaching Diploma.

While no longer accepting new applicants, The Dang also houses two cohorts of a three-year Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre awarded by Trinity. This intensive programme provides advanced technical training for students aspiring to have a career in the performing arts. The final cohort of this course is set to graduate in 2024.

At The Dang Academy, we prioritise the well-being of our students. Our intimate setting allows for personalised attention, ensuring that each student's needs are met. We have a designated Pastoral Lead and a safeguarding team in place to support students with their physical and mental well-being. Our students also have access to meditation sessions, qualified nutrition advice, and guidance on resilient auditioning and coping strategies.
