The Dance Academy

Established in 2011, The Dance Academy is a dance school located in Thurcaston, Leicester. Led by Principal Gemma Evans, the school prides itself on providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for dancers of all ages and abilities.

The Dance Academy caters to children from the age of 2 years and up, offering a wide range of weekly classes. Students have the opportunity to explore various dance styles, including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, and Acro. In addition, the school provides Performance exams twice annually in collaboration with the British Theatre Dance Association, allowing students to showcase their skills and progress.

In addition to exams, The Dance Academy offers a Spring Showcase and an Annual Show towards the end of the year, providing students with the chance to perform on a bigger stage and demonstrate their hard work and dedication. They also actively participate in local events such as the Birstall and Anstey Gala, which offer valuable opportunities for students to further develop their performance skills and boost their self-confidence.
