The Cage, located at 1250 Journey's End Circle, Unit #7 in Newmarket, is a unique gym facility that caters to baseball enthusiasts and families alike. The gym was founded after a failed business venture left the owner with a warehouse lease to fulfill. In an effort to make use of the space, a batting cage was built for the owner's children and their teams to use. The popularity of the batting cage among local coaches led to the decision to rent it out, thus giving rise to The Cage.

Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, The Cage has managed to thrive. The upstairs office of the facility is now the home of 2191451 Ontario Inc. , with employees working remotely since February 2020. The owner made the decision to keep The Cage operational, offering it to baseball teams and families in the area for just $20 per hour.

As the 2023-2024 off-season approaches, The Cage is almost fully booked with teams from October through May. Parents have also been utilizing the facility for summer training sessions with their own children. The owner's commitment to providing affordable access to The Cage for the community is unwavering, ensuring that it remains a valuable resource for baseball enthusiasts in Newmarket.
