Welcome to The Australian Golf Club, a prestigious private Member's Club located just 6 km from the heart of Sydney's CBD. Established in 1882, The Australian Golf Club holds the distinction of being the oldest Golf Club in the Commonwealth.

The Club's stunning Jack Nicklaus Signature Design course underwent redevelopment in 2013 and has since hosted the Men's Australian Open in 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2019. We are proud to announce that the Club will also be hosting the 2023 ISPS HANDA Australian Open from Thursday, November 30 to Sunday, December 3. This highly anticipated event promises to showcase world-class golfing talent on our magnificent course.

Membership at The Australian Golf Club is by invitation only, and guests should be invited to play by a Member. However, if you are from interstate or overseas, you may be introduced by the General Manager. Introduced guests should be affiliated with a recognised golf club or association and provide a letter of introduction from that organisation.

We pride ourselves on upholding certain standards at The Australian Golf Club. We have dress regulations and a mobile phone policy in place to ensure a pleasant and respectful environment for all. Furthermore, we also place great importance on caring for our course to ensure its beauty and playability for years to come.
