The local Horse Riding club in Stockport, Millfarm Riding School, is excited to promote their upcoming Horse Riding event. The Trekking Centre, located just a short ride away from the riding school, is now open and ready to provide visitors with an exhilarating horse riding experience.
At the Trekking Centre, riders have the opportunity to explore the stunning beauty of the local area. With picturesque woodlands, open fields, a river crossing, and xcountry jumps for the more adventurous riders, there's something for everyone. If you prefer a more relaxed ride, you can also choose to meander through the peaceful woods, cross the stream, and enjoy the scenic hills.
Upon arrival, visitors can ride at their preferred pace, whether it's walking, trotting, cantering, or galloping. They will be guided by an experienced instructor or can join an escorted group of up to 5 riders. It's not uncommon to spot some local wildlife along the way, adding to the unique experience. In the winter, the woodland trail transforms into a magical winter wonderland, while in the summer, the ride is shaded by the area's abundance of trees, offering a cool and refreshing escape.
To stay updated on the latest happenings at the Trekking Centre, be sure to follow their Facebook page for regular picture updates. They also offer trekking along the local bridleways for independent riders who prefer a quiet and peaceful walk and trot. One of the bridleways is conveniently located at the foot of Lyme Park, allowing visitors to enjoy a serene stroll alongside the canal.
You can find the Trekking Centre at Mill Farm Riding School & Trekking Centre, situated on Wellington Road, off Buxton Road in Hazel Grove, Stockport. They are open from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 7:30 pm, and on weekends from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please note that lessons are available outside these hours by prior arrangement.
