The Jayne Marie Dancing School, located in Hemel Hempstead, is a premier dance club offering a wide range of classes for individuals aged 3-18. With a curriculum that covers ballet, tap, modern, acro, street, contemporary, jazz, commercial, and more, dancers at our club are given the opportunity to learn and grow in a fun, friendly, and professional environment.
While ballet lessons are at the core of our curriculum, we also provide training in various other dance styles to ensure our students have a well-rounded experience. From tap dancing to modern, acro, street, contemporary, and commercial dance, we strive to cater to the diverse interests and talents of our members. As if that wasn't enough, we also offer drama and musical theatre classes for those looking to explore other facets of the performing arts.
Many of our students join us to experience the sheer joy and increased self-esteem that comes from dancing. We fully support and encourage this, but for those looking to take their talents to the next level, we are proud to say that several of our students have gone on to study at prestigious institutions such as the Sylvia Young Theatre School, the London Studio Centre, LIPA, and Laine Theatre Arts.
Apart from our regular classes, we provide exciting opportunities for our students to showcase their skills. Our annual choreography competition allows every student to perform solo, in a duet, or as part of a group. We also participate in the national performing arts competition, The British Arts Awards, where our students have consistently secured multiple first-place awards. Additionally, we organise an annual Presentation Day and biannual show, ensuring that all our students get the chance to shine in front of an audience.

At The Jayne Marie Dancing School, we follow the syllabi of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and British Arts for our examinations. Thanks to our exceptional teaching and dedicated students, our club boasts an impressive track record of high distinction rates. In fact, we proudly hold the distinction of being the only part-time dance school in the area that offers ballet, tap, and modern dance classes from the Baby age group all the way up to Advanced 2.
We are excited to welcome new students aged 3 to 18 into our JMDS family and look forward to nurturing their love for dance and the performing arts. Miss Hollie Bishop, our Principal, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our club as an ISTD DDE certified professional.
