In fact, in 1928, the first interstate game between NSW and Victoria took place in Sydney, and the challenge continued with a NSW team travelling to Melbourne later that year.
In recognition of the increasing interest and participation in blind cricket, the Australian Blind Cricket Council was formed in January 1953. The inaugural Australian Blind Cricket Carnival (Championships) was held in Kooyong, Melbourne, marking a significant milestone for the sport.

From cane balls in the mid-1920s to red nylon balls in the 1970s, and eventually the introduction of the black nylon ball in 1974, the evolution of the ball has played a crucial role in improving the game.
