Welcome to The Church in St. Werburgh's, Bristol! The Climbing Academy - “The Church” - is excited to announce the reopening of its doors on Friday, 8 September. As one of the UK's first indoor climbing centres, The Church offers a fantastic range of challenges for climbers of all abilities.
With walls and angles reaching up to 12m, you'll find a range of options to test your skills. The Church boasts dedicated top-roping and lead climbing areas, as well as two small bouldering spaces. We've also created a training and stretching space for those who want to improve their climbing abilities.
After working up a sweat, you can refuel at our mezzanine café. We serve locally roasted coffee, fresh sandwiches, delicious cakes, and local beers. It's the perfect spot to relax and catch up with fellow climbers.
At The Church, we pride ourselves on our friendly and experienced team. They're always on hand to offer guidance and advice. If you're new to roped climbing, we offer Taster Sessions and Beginners Courses to get you started. For established climbers, simply fill out a few forms, and you're ready to start climbing.
If bouldering is your thing, there's no need to book or complete a course. Just come along and enjoy our bouldering areas.
At The Church, accessibility is important to us. We provide facilities that cater to wheelchair limitations, and all of our TCA centres have accessible facilities. If you're interested in group sessions or instructed courses, please use our group enquiry form. We're always happy to accommodate special requests and answer any questions you may have.
