Welcome to The Church, the premier climbing club in Bristol! We're excited to announce that we're reopening on Friday, 8 September after some fantastic upgrades. Located in the vibrant area of St. Werburgh's, Bristol, The Church is proud to be one of the UK's first indoor climbing centres.
We have an incredible variety of walls and angles, reaching heights of up to 12m. Whether you're a seasoned climber or just starting out, there are challenges tailored to your abilities. Our centre features dedicated areas for top-roping and lead climbing, as well as a training and stretching space. We also have two small bouldering spaces for those looking to improve their technique.
And that's not all – to fuel your climbing adventures, we have a mezzanine café serving locally roasted coffee, fresh and tasty sandwiches, delicious cakes, and even local beers. So you can refuel and relax in between climbs.
At The Church, you'll find a friendly and experienced team who are passionate about climbing. We offer a range of courses to suit everyone's needs. If you're new to roped climbing, we recommend trying one of our Taster Sessions or Beginners Courses. Our skilled instructors are here to guide you every step of the way.
For our more experienced climbers, simply complete the required forms, and you'll be ready to tackle our challenging routes. If you're into bouldering, we highly recommend visiting The Mothership in Bristol, where you can enjoy more bouldering opportunities.
Don't worry if you don't have your own climbing shoes, you can hire them at both The Church and The Mothership. And to save you time, we offer the option to complete online forms in advance.
Safety is always our top priority. We kindly ask that children under 16 are supervised by a registered adult. Each adult can supervise up to two children per visit. We also welcome group bookings, so feel free to contact us via the group enquiry form on our website.
