The 59th Hoylake Open Scratch Mixed Foursomes is a prestigious golf competition scheduled for the Bank Holiday Weekend from August 23rd to August 26th, 2024. With a limited field of 64 pairs, this mixed foursomes scratch competition is an exciting opportunity for golf enthusiasts.
Participants can expect three days of competitive play at the renowned Championship Links. The event kicks off on Friday, August 23rd, with a Foursomes practice round followed by a Welcome Reception and Supper at 19:00 hrs in the Clubhouse. Competitors are encouraged to dress smartly for the occasion.
Saturday, August 24th, will see Matchplay Rounds 1 & 2 and a Consolation Scratch Competition, with a lunch break at the Spike Bar and a Dinner & Disco event in the evening. Sunday, August 25th, will continue with Matchplay Rounds 3 & 4, Consolation Scratch Competition, and a Putting Competition along with more delicious meals.
The tournament will culminate on Monday, August 26th, with the Semi-Final and Finals, Consolation Scratch and Handicap Competitions. Matches will be played over 18 holes on a scratch basis, with sudden death if necessary.
Interested golfers can enter the competition for £220 per golfer (£440 per pair), with discounted rates available for RLGC members and younger golfers. The entry deadline is April 30th, 2024, and participants will be contacted once the draw is complete.
