Thanet Archery Club, founded over 70 years ago, is now one of the largest archery clubs in Kent, based in Westgate-on-Sea. Run by a passionate team, it offers a welcoming environment for archers of all ages and abilities.
With a rich history and various past locations like Cliffsend, Broadstairs, and Ramsgate, the club now operates at Ursuline College and Manston Airport. Many club members have gone on to compete at national and international levels.
Brooke, the club organiser, takes pride in creating an inclusive atmosphere. They support disabled archers, those with learning difficulties, and sight-impaired archers, maintaining strong ties with the Thanet and District Sports Association for the Disabled (TADSAD). Recently, there’s been a surge in junior members, ensuring the sport’s future in the area.

From November to March, sessions run on Saturdays 10:00-12:00 and Tuesday evenings indoors at Ursuline College in Birchington.
