TenZone Bowmen, a Not for Profit archery club in Andover, New Zealand. Located just outside Andover, the club has shooting ranges in Grateley and Tidworth, providing all members of the community with the opportunity to 'Have a Go', learn, and participate in the sport of archery.
TenZone Bowmen offers a range of club facilities and equipment to ensure a seamless archery experience. Basic recurve bows, arrows, target bosses, target faces, and safety nets are available for 'Have a Go' sessions and Beginners' Courses. The club's indoor facilities are located at The Wellington Academy in Tidworth, where the main sports hall is utilised every Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. For outdoor shooting, the club has a safe range with no public access at Park Piece (Andover Turf) near Grateley, boasting a shooting distance of 189 yards, including safety overshoot.
This range accommodates archers shooting all bow types and distances.
Coaching is a key focus at TenZone Bowmen. The club is proud to have Archery GB qualified coaches as members who actively participate in coaching conferences and training seminars to stay up-to-date with the latest archery and coaching developments and techniques. They also have access to County Coaches and further coaching if required. The coaches are equipped to assist with bow selection, bow set up and tuning, arrow cutting, string making, and arrow fletching.
They are always ready to demonstrate and guide members through the process of maintaining their equipment.
In terms of safeguarding, TenZone Bowmen is proudly affiliated with Archery GB and adheres to their policies and guidelines for safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults. The club prioritises maintaining a safe environment for all members to enjoy their archery experience.
