Tenkai Dojo Ashtead specialises in Yamanaka-Ha Shindo-Ryu Jujutsu, an innovative style grounded in traditional techniques. The training involves ground, kneeling, and stand-up techniques for a comprehensive experience.
Karate at the dojo emphasises body movement, blocking, strikes, and kicks for self-defence. The club practises Okinawan Goju-ryu, a blend of Chinese Kung-fu and ancient Okinawan Te. This style provides effective self-defence methods and offers health benefits through conditioning and breathing exercises. Students engage in Kata, a series of pre-arranged moves, to develop discipline, focus, and a strong mind and body.
