Lee Sterry would like to extend a warm welcome to the members of our vibrant sports community. For those who may not know, Lee is at the helm of the highly successful Team Gosforth Football Club Ltd., based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Founded in 2013, Team Gosforth FC was created to meet the needs of young football enthusiasts who had been part of Lee Sterry Sports Coaching. The club’s journey began with just a handful of teams at the U7, U8, and U9 levels, and from the outset, it was clear the club was onto something special. In its very first season, the teams managed to secure five trophies, including a league title and four cups. Now, the club boasts over 300 young players, ranging from U7s to U18s.
The club has built a fantastic reputation, recognised for the outstanding attitudes, style of play, and professionalism of its young players. Everyone at Team Gosforth is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment, with a strong emphasis on both football and social development.
Team Gosforth FC is proud of its outstanding coaching team, which includes a UEFA B coach as well as several Level 1 and Level 2 coaches. All staff are up-to-date with first aid qualifications, child protection certifications, and have undergone CRB checks.
In collaboration with Gosforth Academy and Newcastle University, Team Gosforth players have access to top-notch pitches in the northeast. The connection with Lee Sterry Sports Coaching ensures a wealth of opportunities, from advanced football training to school holiday camps, Saturday morning football sessions, goalkeeping coaching, and personalised 1-2-1 coaching. For more information on these programmes, do reach out to Lee Sterry directly or visit their website.
The club is also proud to be an 'FA CHARTER STANDARD' club, consistently meeting the highest standards set by the Football Association.
