Poole Piranhas Basketball Club, located in Bournemouth, is thrilled to host its regular team practice sessions for players of all ages. With sessions catered to various age categories, including U10s, U12s, U14s, U16s, and U18s, there's a place for everyone to improve their skills and have a great time on the court.
These practice sessions have a clear goal in mind – to teach players valuable team drills, plays, and concepts that will undoubtedly come in handy during the 'Local League' matches organised by the Dorset Basketball Association (DBA). Thanks to the DBA, players get the opportunity to compete in matches that take place once a month, starting from September/October and lasting until April/May.
To be a part of these thrilling matches, players must become a member of one of Poole Piranhas' teams and hold a valid Basketball England license. The monthly fee of £35 covers the license fee, insurance, and additional team and playing fees, making it a comprehensive package for all participating players.
For those eager to join one of our teams, it's important to note that we hold our annual trials in June. Interested players will have the chance to showcase their skills within one of our training groups. After the trials, our dedicated team will select the best players to place on a team, ensuring a fair and competitive process.
